Abby moved to the Quad Cities in 2017. As a remote worker, she wanted to build more connections with the community. She knew about the 100+ Women Who Care program, and thought it would be a great fit for the QCA. Abby reached out to her closest circle - other moms from the daycare her children attended!
The Founding Board was started with our connection to Birdie's Nest Daycare in Davenport. After many planning sessions, the Power of 100+ Women in the QCA was officially founded!
Our Founding Board: Abby Repp, Allison Arlt, Jamie Haney, Brianna Harvey, Calli Weir, Casey Smith, Erin Keppy, Jennifer Boyd, Jodi Siebler, NaRhea Salzbrenner & Sarah Axelson.
Find out who we are and how being a part of this group has impacted our lives!
I am a mom of two boys. We live in Davenport and I work in the Financial Services Industry in Risk and Compliance, and I also operate a local licensed home bakery.
I love the idea of women of all walks of life coming together with what normally would be a small donation ($100) and putting that together to make a BIG impact in our community by donating to either a non-profit or individual in need.
I am a mom of two children, Brianna and Brayden in Davenport, and am a social worker at a local non profit organization, specifically with child welfare and mental health. When I say that life is eventful every single day, I mean it ☺️
I believe this group is exactly what our local community needs right now and am excited to help unite and empower all women! I am so excited that women, no matter our background, occupation, or life style, can come together and make a HUGE impact on our community by making a contribution.
I’m a Chicago suburb transplant who now lives on the west end of Davenport with my two wild children and married to my college sweetheart. I’ve worked in the non-profit arena with adults with different abilities for the past eight years and worked in child welfare and with domestic violence victims before that.
Working with underserved and less privileged populations is extremely eye opening to all of the unmet needs in our community, so when Abby approached me and explained how simple the Power of 100 model is and how big of difference we can make when we come together…I was ready to get started ASAP!
I am a wife to my husband, Jeremy, and mother to a very energetic 3 1/2 year old, Zane, and have 4 dogs, Max, Maya, Monty, and Zeke! I work at a local CPA firm and am just getting done with our busy season. Whew! It was a rough one this year!
When I first learned about this group, I instantly wanted to be involved! I LOVE giving back to the community, but feel like my life gets so hectic I don't have the time. This group is a GREAT way to be involved without a huge time commitment AND make a huge impact in our community!
My husband, Mason, and I are parents to two kiddos-Eva and Rhett. I am a Future Ready Curriculum Consultant for Grant Wood AEA and have a serious passion for education. Students are our future, and I am always looking for ways to create opportunities to build a thriving community for them to be a part of.
Joining this group was a simple choice for me! Being able to combine forces with other QCA women to create an impact makes sense!! 👊🏻 It speaks to my desire to do more and do it BIGGER in a way that can truly bring change to our community.
My husband, Joe, and I have two sons. I work in early education and have a passion for quality early learning.
I’m a QCA transplant and have lived in the area for the past 4 years. I’m a wife and mother to two daughters. I work for the Army and I love to travel, garden, quilt, and read.
I am a wife and a mama of 2. I wear a few different hats- I am a behavior analyst by day and a dance teacher 🩰 and college instructor 👩🏻🏫 by night.
Needless to say, I keep pretty busy... But when I heard about this group, there was no way I could turn down the possibility of getting involved and being able to give back to the community that made me who I am today! 💪🏻
My husband and I have two daughters: he is a QC native; I am a Fighting Bee 🐝 alum! I work full-time in healthcare. Volunteering and giving back has always been important to me and something I want to instill in my kids!
I moved to the QCA in 2017 with my husband, Nathan. We have two little girls and one boy. I work for a large agriculture company. 🌽 Prior to the pandemic, I worked outside the community & now it’s out of my home. 🏡
First, there is a chapter called 100 Women Who Care in the town I grew up in. I’ve watched from a far for several years now. I admire it & it inspires me. 💕
Second, moving to a large community & not working directly in the QCA, I felt like I was missing a connection, a way to make a difference.
Lastly, I’m so thankful for the amazing women I have met in the community that make up my tribe. I shared this idea with some of them & not a single one laughed or hesitated, they all just said we are in!
I am a mama to four absolutely amazing children! They keep my husband, Jason, and I on our toes. We live in Eldridge and we own and operate a child care center and preschool during the day in Davenport. We serve over 100 children in the QCA. Our life is non-stop and sometimes hectic but we wouldn’t trade it for anything. 😍🥰
When I first heard about the Power of 100 groups all over the U.S. I was convinced we needed one right here in the QC. It isn’t a huge time commitment. It enables me to put a small amount of money together with other women, and it makes a huge impact right here in the community I live in. If you are like me and have a lot on your plate right now, this is the perfect way to make an impact without balancing more responsibility.
Proud Quad City native, wife, momma to two amazing little boys and a fluffy Austrian Shepard. Born and raised in East Davenport, I'm a Central Highschool grad and St. Ambrose University alum who aspires to inspire and leave the community better than I found it. Professionally, I am a financial advisor at Modern Woodmen of America where I help educate and empower people on a daily basis. I love what I do! In my spare time, you can find me with my family, on a walk or run on the bike path or enjoying some quality time with my mom or best girlfriends!
Giving back to others, big or small, is one of the best feelings. I'm grateful for the original group of women who put together Power of 100 + Women and hope to continue its presence in the QCA for many years to come.
I live in Davenport with my husband, Brent. We are both active individuals and our dog, Ruthie, loves to join us on adventures. Running is my favorite hobby. I have met a lot of the most important people in my life through various running groups; including my husband. Brent and I enjoy traveling. I also enjoy crafting and planning events. I am a nurse case manager at Trinity Hospital.
I joined Power of 100+ Women because I want to give back to my community. The Quad Cities has been my home most of my life. There are so many wonderful people and organizations doing amazing work in our area. It's very empowering that a group of women can make a huge impact in one evening!
I work for a local software company where I do graphic and web design. I’m an QC native with a HUGE love for all things Disney. During my time in college I was able to do an internship at Walt Disney World which fueled my love even more. I’ve been happy to share this obsession with my husband, Josh, for the last 14 years and we’ve been lucky enough to pass the Disney love along to our daughter. Together we enjoy traveling and cruising to different tropical locations. When my family and I aren’t enjoying a Disney flick or planning our next vacation we like to craft, hike, play volleyball and walk our dog.
I’m a part of Power of 100+ Women because I like to learn about charities and organizations that are making a difference in our area. I love that in a short amount of time we can all come together and have a big impact on helping those organizations flourish and have a hand in helping the people who are our friends, neighbors and community.
