Founded in 2008 by Angela DeWilfond, CCKMA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to making the world a better and more hopeful place through education, advocacy, and community support. Driven by a passionate team of volunteers, the organization hosts fundraisers and community events designed to raise awareness about ovarian cancer and educate individuals on the importance of early detection, prevention, and treatment. While CCKMA’s primary mission centers on ovarian cancer awareness and education, the organization also remains committed to supporting research efforts that impact all types of cancer.
Since its founding, CCKMA has made a meaningful impact by donating more than $462,000 to support ovarian cancer research. All funds raised directly benefit research initiatives within the Division of Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Iowa Health Care, helping advance prevention methods, treatment options, and patient care. Through its ongoing dedication and community-driven efforts, CCKMA continues to create lasting change and bring hope to individuals and families affected by cancer.
